Whenever I remember that Baltimore County residents have never had a Whole Foods Market, I shed a tear for all those poor souls forced to fry their omelets in something other than unrefined coconut oil and sweeten their tea with honey bereft of pollen, propolis, and “unavoidable bee parts.”Well soon I will be able to dry my eyes; the fancy, health-oriented grocery store just signed a lease at Towson Row, possibly opening in 2018.
The Towson location, which will anchor the entire Towson Row project, will occupy 45,000 square feet, making it nearly twice as large as the Whole Foods at Harbor East — that one’s 25,000 square feet –and just 5,000 square feet shy of Columbia’s tricked-out location.
