Goodbye Colette, hello Bottega.

Adrien Aeschliman, owner of the recently closed Colette bistro, announced that the space at 1709 N. Charles Street will be reopening today as the home of a second restaurant he controls.

โ€œNew chapter starting โ€ฆ at 5 p.m.,โ€ the owner wrote in a post on Facebook. โ€œBottega has moved into what used to be Colette. BYOB! We will add booze within the month, but even so encourage you to byob. Slightly larger menu, same faces, walk ins welcome.โ€

When Colette, a French bistro, closed abruptly in late May, there were hints that Bottega might take its place. Bottega, an Italian restaurant, was located a block away from Colette at 1729 Maryland Avenue. Colette had a spot in the Chesapeake Building, next to the Charles Theater and near the restored Parkway Theatre.

The relocated Bottega is opening just in time for Baltimoreโ€™s annual Artscape festival, which runs from July 21-23. The new question is: What will go into the Bottega space?
