โBroad City,โ the inventive, absurdist buddy comedy following the adventures of two New York City women, is coming to a close after this, its fifth season.
Co-creator, writer, director, executive producer and star Abbi Jacobson, who is also a MICA alum, will screen the penultimate episode, called โAlong Came Molly,โ at the Parkway Theatre on March 20 alongside cinematographer Ashley Connor.
The episode is scheduled to air on TV the following day, meaning every one in attendance will get all to know all the details before the rest of the world. How cool is that? Just donโt be that person who shares spoilers on social media.
Per the theater, the episode involves Abbi (Jacobson), Ilana (Ilana Wexler) and Bevers (John Gemberling) โsell[ing] Abbiโs New York belongings and Abbi gets tickets to a Lil Wayne concert.โ
A conversation and Q&A will follow the screening, the first in a series of events at the theater celebrating contemporary female filmmakers. Tickets for this special event, which starts at 7 p.m., are on sale now and cost $25.
