Maryland has administered 601,914 doses of the coronavirus vaccine as of Thursday morning.

A total of 486,106 first doses of the vaccine have been received, including 14,515 in the past 24 hours.

Of the Marylanders who have received their first vaccine dose, 115,808 have also received their second dose, including 14,268 in the past 24 hours.

Less than 2% of the state’s residents have received both doses of the vaccine.

At least 359,037 Marylanders have tested positive for COVID-19, while 2,862,490 have tested negative as of Thursday morning, according to the Maryland Department of Health’s COVID-19 Case Map Dashboard.

After two days of daily new cases below 1,000, the state on Thursday reported 1,554 new cases, an increase of 0.43%.

Maryland has completed 7,102,358 coronavirus tests to date, with 35,487 test results reported in the past 24 hours.

An average of 5.89% of the state’s coronavirus tests over the last seven days have come back positive.

The seven-day average rate of positive tests yesterday was 5.99% for Marylanders younger than 35 and 5.82% for Marylanders older than 35.

Maryland reported 59 fewer coronavirus-related hospitalizations compared to Wednesday, with 38 fewer patients in acute care and 21 fewer patients in intensive care.

There are currently 1,426 Marylanders hospitalized due to COVID-19. Maryland has hospitalized a total of 32,531 people with the virus since the pandemic began.

A total of 7,074 Marylanders have died from COVID-19, with 31 additional deaths reported since Wednesday. There are also 177 deaths suspected to be related to coronavirus.

As of 10 a.m. Thursday, there have been 68,772 confirmed cases in Prince George’s County; 59,782 in Montgomery County; 47,890 in Baltimore County; 38,311 in Baltimore City; 33,362 in Anne Arundel County; 15,845 in Frederick County; 14,767 in Howard County; 11,570 in Washington County; 11,526 in Harford County; 8,184 in Charles County; 7,041 in Carroll County; 6,427 in Wicomico County; 6,239 in Allegany County; 4,797 in Cecil County; 4,661 in St. Mary’s County; 3,465 in Calvert County; 3,103 in Worcester County; 2,391 in Queen Anne’s County; 2,279 in Somerset County; 2,124 in Dorchester County; 1,915 in Caroline County; 1,805 in Garrett County; 1,722 in Talbot County; and 1,059 in Kent County, according to the dashboard.

Of Maryland’s confirmed cases, 17,553 are people age 9 or younger; 33,768 are people ages 10-19; 65,286 are people ages 20-29; 62,056 are people ages 30-39; 54,841 are people ages 40-49; 54,236 are people ages 50-59; 36,585 are people ages 60-69; 20,839 are people ages 70-79; and 13,873 are people age 80 or older.

Maryland has identified 188,311 of the confirmed COVID-19 patients as female and 170,726 as male.

Of the Marylanders who have tested positive for COVID-19, 101,954 are Black, 58,655 are Hispanic, 122,857 are white, 7,911 are Asian, 16,849 are another race, and data is not available for the remaining 50,811.

Nationwide, there have been at least 26,559,013 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the United States, including at least 450,826 deaths. The U.S. has conducted more than 313.6 million coronavirus tests to date as of 10 a.m. Thursday, according to a real-time dashboard created by Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Systems Science and Engineering.
