About 8% of Maryland’s approximately 6 million residents have been fully vaccinated with two doses of the vaccine. Meanwhile, about 14.5% of residents have received at least one dose.

Maryland providers have administered 1,362,758 coronavirus vaccine doses as of Tuesday morning, including a total of 878,493 first doses and 484,265 second doses.

In the past 24 hours, the state has administered 19,916 first doses of the vaccine and 10,254 second doses.

Maryland will soon ramp up its vaccine distribution as the state prepares the state plans to begin deploying the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine later this week, Gov. Larry Hogan announced Monday.

The federal government will send 49,600 doses of the J&J vaccine this week.

At least 383,170 Marylanders have tested positive for COVID-19, while 3,006,690 have tested negative as of Tuesday morning, according to the Maryland Department of Health’s COVID-19 Case Map Dashboard.

Maryland’s coronavirus caseload grew by 468, an increase of 0.12%.

The state reported 11,040 more coronavirus test results in the past 24 hours, and has completed a total of 7,917,331 tests to date.

An average of 3.35% of the state’s COVID-19 tests over the last seven days came back positive.

The seven-day average rate of positive tests yesterday was 3.73% for Marylanders younger than 35 and 3.1% for Marylanders older than 35.

There are currently 896 Marylanders hospitalized with COVID-19, including 664 who are in acute care and 232 who are in intensive care.

The number of acute care patients declined by five while the number of intensive care patients declined by three, marking a net decrease of eight fewer people hospitalized with coronavirus compared to Monday.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Maryland has hospitalized a total of 35,152 people with COVID-19.

A total of 7,723 Marylanders have died from COVID-19, with 26 additional deaths reported since Monday. There are also 182 deaths suspected to be related to coronavirus.

As of 10 a.m. Tuesday, there have been 73,509 confirmed cases in Prince George’s County; 63,499 in Montgomery County; 51,062 in Baltimore County; 40,481 in Baltimore City; 35,827 in Anne Arundel County; 17,003 in Frederick County; 15,831 in Howard County; 12,529 in Harford County; 12,427 in Washington County; 8,929 in Charles County; 7,555 in Carroll County; 6,783 in Wicomico County; 6,409 in Allegany County; 5,134 in St. Mary’s County; 5,025 in Cecil County; 3,664 in Calvert County; 3,269 in Worcester County; 2,579 in Queen Anne’s County; 2,390 in Somerset County; 2,354 in Dorchester County; 2,051 in Caroline County; 1,890 in Talbot County; 1,844 in Garrett County; and 1,126 in Kent County, according to the dashboard.

Maryland has confirmed 19,097 cases in people age 9 or younger; 36,791 in people ages 10-19; 69,645 in people ages 20-29; 65,806 in people ages 30-39; 58,050 in people ages 40-49; 57,769 in people ages 50-59; 39,118 in people ages 60-69; 22,215 in people ages 70-79; and 14,679 in people age 80 or older.

The state has identified 200,455 of the confirmed COVID-19 patients as female and 182,715 as male.

Of the Marylanders who have tested positive for COVID-19, 109,924 are Black, 61,652 are Hispanic, 132,480 are white, 8,674 are Asian, 17,970 are another race, and data is not available for the remaining 52,470.

Nationwide, there have been at least 28,664,957 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the United States, including at least 514,660 deaths. The U.S. has conducted more than 351.8 million coronavirus tests to date as of 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to a real-time dashboard created by Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Systems Science and Engineering.
