Maryland officials on Wednesday reported 1,205 newly confirmed coronavirus cases and 13 more deaths related to COVID-19.

The state has recorded a total of 438,789 coronavirus cases to date, while 3,286,372 Marylanders have tested negative for the virus as of Wednesday morning, according to the Maryland Department of Health’s COVID-19 Case Map Dashboard.

Maryland has confirmed that the deaths of 8,419 Marylanders were related to COVID-19, while 186 are suspected to be related to the virus.

The state has completed 9,395,658 coronavirus tests to date, with 27,330 test results reported in the past 24 hours.

Over the last seven days, an average of 5.28% of the state’s COVID-19 tests have come back positive.

The seven-day average rate of positive tests yesterday was 5.73% for Marylanders younger than 35 and 4.96% for Marylanders older than 35.

Of the 1,279 Marylanders who are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19, 979 are in acute care and 300 are in intensive care.

The number of acute care patients rose by seven while the number of intensive care patients declined by 10, marking a net decrease of three fewer people hospitalized with coronavirus compared to Tuesday.

To date, Maryland has hospitalized a total of 40,487 people with coronavirus.

Of the two-dose vaccines, Maryland has administered a total of 2,379,702 first doses and 1,509,633 second doses.

In the past 24 hours, providers have administered 38,805 first doses and 39,219 second doses.

Maryland providers have also administered single-dose vaccines to a total of 180,007 people, including 249 doses that were reported in the past 24 hours.

A total of 1,689,640 Marylanders have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, state data showed on Wednesday.

As of 10 a.m. Wednesday, there have been 81,701 confirmed cases in Prince George’s County; 69,049 in Montgomery County; 61,567 in Baltimore County; 49,592 in Baltimore City; 41,610 in Anne Arundel County; 19,182 in Frederick County; 18,497 in Howard County; 15,700 in Harford County; 13,907 in Washington County; 10,328 in Charles County; 8,895 in Carroll County; 7,336 in Wicomico County; 6,734 in Allegany County; 5,875 in Cecil County; 5,701 in St. Mary’s County; 4,081 in Calvert County; 3,517 in Worcester County; 2,853 in Queen Anne’s County; 2,628 in Dorchester County; 2,520 in Somerset County; 2,237 in Caroline County; 2,038 in Talbot County; 1,952 in Garrett County; and 1,289 in Kent County, according to the dashboard.

Maryland has confirmed 23,645 coronavirus cases in people age 9 or younger; 44,251 in people ages 10-19; 80,524 in people ages 20-29; 75,154 in people ages 30-39; 65,724 in people ages 40-49; 65,758 in people ages 50-59; 43,934 in people ages 60-69; 24,270 in people ages 70-79; and 15,529 in people age 80 or older.

Of the Marylanders who have tested positive for COVID-19, 133,087 are Black, 10,576 are Asian, 154,577 are white, 67,220 are Hispanic, 20,511 are another race, and data is not available for the remaining 52,818.

The state has identified 229,303 of the confirmed coronavirus patients as female and 209,486 as male.

Nationwide, there have been at least 31,794,833 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the United States, including at least 568,483 deaths. The U.S. has conducted more than 419.7 million coronavirus tests to date as of 10 a.m. Wednesday, according to a real-time dashboard created by Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Systems Science and Engineering.
