Pi Day
Friday is the famously nerdy holiday Pi Day (3.14) and to honor the occasion, Italian Disco is offering any three pizzas on their menu for $31.40.
St. Patrick’s Day celebrating begins
With the calendar on March and Irish Heritage Month upon us, local businesses are turning green as they gear up for St. Patrick’s Day.
As always, Guinness Open Gate Brewery has a full slate of activities planned for March, when the brewery’s outdoor space becomes an Irish village featuring live music, Irish dancing, and food stalls serving classics like bangers and mash along newer Irish favorites like Irish Nachos.
Throughout March, Guinness also offers specials like corned beef and cabbage and Baileys chocolate cake. The brewery will also re-release two seasonal bears, the Irish Breakfast Tea Amber and Clover Honey Ale.
At James Joyce, the festivities kick off on March 9 with a fundraiser for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The celebration kicks into high gear there next weekend, with three straight days of parties, music and more.
THB is in the St. Pat’s spirit with a lineup of green, orange and white bagels available for preorder now and in-store from March 15-17.
True Chesapeake is hosting a St. Pat’s crafting event on Sunday, March 9, featuring shamrock-themed crafts and oyster shell painting. Kids are welcome, too.
Elkridge Furnace Inn is making it easy to get in the Irish spirit this weekend with a pair of events featuring Irish dance. First, at noon on Sunday, the Inn hosts a tea with the Teelin Dancers, followed by an Irish-themed dinner, featuring the same dance troupe, starting at 5 p.m.
