Brooks Paternotte is outdoorsy to say the least. He met his wife ice climbing in the Rocky Mountains, and the two went fishing in Patagonia for a honeymoon. On July 1, Paternotte took over as executive director of the Irvine Nature Center in Owings Mills, a job the Roland Park native calls “a perfect fit.”
According to the Sun, Paternotte admires the creativity of Irvine’s staff and appreciates that the nature center “touches the full range of people and experiences.” Under his watch, he hopes to increase the facility’s reach, with plans to collaborate with Johns Hopkins, Loyola, Stevenson University, and high schools across the state.
