Brooks Paternotte is outdoorsy to say the least. He met his wife ice climbing in the Rocky Mountains, and the two went fishing in Patagonia for a honeymoon. On July 1, Paternotte took over as executive director of the Irvine Nature Center in Owings Mills, a job the Roland Park native calls โ€œa perfect fit.โ€

According to the Sun, Paternotte admires the creativity of Irvineโ€™s staff and appreciates that the nature center โ€œtouches the full range of people and experiences.โ€ Under his watch, he hopes to increase the facilityโ€™s reach, with plans to collaborate with Johns Hopkins, Loyola, Stevenson University, and high schools across the state.
