City of Laurel Mayor Keith Sydnor has issued an executive order establishing a temporary city-wide curfew for juveniles in effect from Friday, July 11, 2025, through Saturday, Aug. 31, 2025.
According to a City press release, the temporary curfew is intended to promote the safety and well-being of Laurel’s youth and to support broader public safety goals during the summer months.
“As mayor, the safety of our young residents is a top priority,” Sydnor said. “This temporary curfew is a proactive step to ensure our community remains safe and secure during the busy summer season. We urge parents and guardians to speak with their children about the curfew and support our efforts to foster a safer Laurel.”
