To honor Black Philanthropy Month, a Baltimore social change organization is holding their third annual 24-hour day of giving. CLLCTIVGIVE is taking place Friday, August 8, 2025, inviting people to contribute to Baltimoreโs Black-led social change organizations.
CLLCTIVGIVE is an initiative launched by CLLCTIVLY, which has mobilized over $3 million in no-strings grants for organizations dedicated to nurturing the Black communityโs power, creativity, and impact.
โWe’re creating more than a fundraising platform,โ reads the CLLCTIVGIVE page on their website. โWe’re building a movement that elevates Black changemakers, amplifies their essential work, and connects them with the resources and partnerships they need to drive lasting impact across our city.โ
The day of โGiving Blackโ (#givingblack) supports 111 organizations, including Associated Black Charities, Baltimore Unity Hall, Ballet After Dark, Maryland Justice Project, Stillborn and Infant Loss Support (SAILS), Women Leading Baltimore, Youth Resiliency Institute, and more. CLLCTIVLY has set a goal of raising $2 million in 24 hours to amplify the organizations doing the work to build better futures for Black people in Baltimore. In the previous two years, CLLCTIVGIVE raised over $1.1 million in 24 hours each year.
Founded by Jamye Wooten in 2019, CLLCTIVLY began as an asset map showcasing more than 200 Black-led organizations, broken down by neighborhood and area of focus. The group continues to serve those organizations and the Black community in Baltimore through grants, a newsletter with over 30,000 subscribers, the CONNECT Cohort, the Drs. Elmer and Joanne Martin Social Impact Fellowship, and more.
“Black-led organizations receive less than 2% of the $60 billion in foundation dollars,” Wooten said. “This year, we’re setting our boldest vision: $2 million in 24 hours to amplify and resource the changemakers building Black futures in Baltimore.”
There is still time to join the celebration of giving Black by going to the CLLCTIVGIVE page on the CLLCTIVLY website.
