Don’t say I didn’t warn you. On September 28, the Maryland Science Center is going to willingly house 150 mummies and related artifacts in a four-month exhibit. And if you’re not afraid of any curses that may or may not be associated with your visit, it should be a pretty interesting experience.

“Mummies of the World,” as the title suggests, will display preserved remains from South America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania, in addition to Egypt. You’ll see a mummified family from 18th-century Hungary, a mummy infant 3,000 years older than King Tut, a howler monkey from Argentina, and a lizard from the Sahara Desert.

From browsing pictures of the exhibit, I can tell you not all the specimens will be neatly wrapped in cloth. There were a couple I wouldn’t want to spend a long time gazing at. But those more in touch with their inner Indiana Jones should do fine.
