The Baltimore area is getting its first PGA TOUR Superstore this weekend.
The Atlanta-headquartered golf equipment and gear retailer will open a new 29,440-square-foot store Saturday at 1910 York Road in Timonium.
The grand opening celebration will tee off at 9 a.m. Be sure to get there early because the store will be giving away $30,000 worth of equipment, apparel and gift cards to the first guests in line Saturday morning.
“At our new Timonium location, golfers will find the largest and latest selection of equipment and apparel, supported by knowledgeable Associates and a best-in-class in-store experience,” said Troy Rice, CEO of PGA TOUR Superstore. “From lessons and club fittings to repairs and state-of-the-art simulators, we look forward to offering golfers of all skill levels our expertise and services to help them enjoy their game more.”
There are 191 golf courses accross Maryland, including 84 public, 37 municipal, and 70 private courses, according to the golf website GolfLink.
Customers will be able to shop from men’s, women’s and junior apparel and footwear that can just as easily be worn on “the cobblestones of Fells Point or on the course, built for performance and everyday wear,” according to a news release.
The new PGA TOUR Superstore will feature a 1,800-square-foot putting green, TrackMan technology across its two STUDIO-brand fitting bays and four additional fitting/simulator bays, a setup showcasing custom at-home simulators.
The store will also offer full services, including on-site certified teaching professionals who can offer golfing instruction, swing analysis, club fitting and club repair.
