I have container envy. My garden has too many beds and too many weeds right now. Every August I wish I had only containers to tend.
From Baltimore to the Hamptons for a late May wedding to Ocean City, New Jersey, where my sister and I made a trip to our childhood beach, containers this summer have grabbed me.

Planters and window boxes dressed up the shops in the Hamptons.

Sweet bouquets graced the chairs at the wedding at Villa des Amis in Bridgehampton.

In June, one giant container, a garden in itself, greeted guests at the Cylburn Arboretum Associationโs Celebration of Art.

Window boxes filled awning-clad porches at the all-American, dry beach that is Ocean City, New Jersey.

Iโm soon headed to Boothbay Harbor, Maine. In addition to being mesmerized again by the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, I know I will be spellbound by the containers of this quaint New England this town.
