Earlier this year, Latin restaurant Talara announced it was closing. The simultaneous shuttering of Chazz made foodies question how many restaurants Harbor East could hold. While there may not be room in the development for tapas, there is room for a massive Starbucks.
Baltimore Business Journal reports that Starbucks is moving into the old Talara space in the near future. That location is three times the size of its current location, and space for an outdoor patio.
The move follows Whole Foodsโ announcement that theyโll be moving across the street and expanding. So, as the area gets ready for what developers think will be a new influx of people (aka potential customers) with nearby Harbor Point, big brands are only getting bigger.

keep telling yourself that people will come…
People do come/go to these restaurants.
Seriously?! 600 people just moved to Harbor East from CitiGroup and Harbor Point is going to bring 1000’s when it opens.
I believe the area can sustain many restaurants, I think the two mentioned however, were not good concepts. Both Chaz and Talara seemed better suited to Harbor Place, not Harbor East. Both felt dated, tacky and cheap. Three descriptors you don’t want tied to the Harbor East location.
informal word on the street is that Chazz was poorly managed. That never works anywhere
