As the city cleaned up on Tuesday, the Walters Art Museum and Morgan State University announced a new partnership.
The “strategic partnership” between the Mt. Vernon museum and historically black college was planned long before Monday’s events, and will be good for 3-5 years.
“Through this unique relationship, we hope to create deep systemic organizational change and have a creative and economic impact on the city,” Walters Art Museum director Julia Marciari-Alexander said.
The two institutions plan to work together on art exhibitions, research and exchange scholarly and educational resources.
