The lead-contaminated drinking water that has plagued Flint, Mich., has prompted a $150-million-plus class-action suit filed by Baltimore attorney William H. Murphy Jr.

Murphy recently negotiated a $6.4 million settlement with the city for the family of Freddie Gray following Grayโ€™s fatal injury in police custody. He also spoke to the media about the familyโ€™s support of mandatory police body cameras.

Murphy told the Baltimore Sun that the class-action suit seeks $150 million in water bill refunds for the time during which the Flint River was supplying the city with water, plus an unspecified โ€œsignificantly moreโ€ for โ€œall of the damages that are a consequence of having to be forced to use dangerous water.โ€
