Sky-watchers in Ocean City noticed an unusual message recently, when an airplane cruised the sky over the popular beach town with a banner in tow that allegedly read Stop Mad Cow Disease Stop Hillary. There was also a second banner, which read America First. Build That Wall.
According to the Baltimore Sun, Ocean Aerial Ads decided to pull the banner advertisements after receiving hundreds of complaints. Owner Bob Bunting apparently had no idea the messages would be so controversial.
โIโm going to lay low and not do any political ads. People just canโt handle it anymore and thereโs so much hate in this world. Todayโs parties want to fight each other and just be mean to each other,โ Bunting said during a recent town council meeting. โItโs not worth it. Thereโs just no tolerance anymore for opposing viewpointsโฆ.Whereโs the American way? Iโve never seen anything so nasty. People are scared to say what they really feel anymore. Everyone is just too sensitive. Itโs a shame.โ
Trump opponents have also attempted to use aerial ads to get their message across during this election, as when someone paid a skywriter to write TRUMP IS DISGUSTING in the sky over the Rose Parade earlier this year.
