Out with the old, in with the new:
Beds, cabinets, flat screen TVs, lights, artwork, kitchen equipment and other furnishings went up for grabs today as owners of the former Peabody Court hotel in Mount Vernon started a โliquidation saleโ on the premises, 612 Cathedral Street, in preparation for a $15 million renovation.

Representatives for the owners, LL Pro Hospitality Baltimore LLC, said in April that they would close the 104-room hotel for renovations in July and reopen once the work is complete sometime in 2017. The sale, which is open to the public, is a sign that they are moving ahead with their plans.

As of February 2 of this year, the hotel is being managed by Commune Hotels & Resorts as part of its Joie de Vivre portfolio. The liquidation sale is being handled by International Content Liqiuidations Inc. Hours of the sale are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except for Sunday, when the hours are noon to 5 p.m. More information and a list of items for sale are available at iclsales.com.
