Once again, it’s time to spend at home a day that would normally have big plans and packed restaurants. Fortunately, Baltimore venues have a few options for giving Valentine’s Day at home some romance, or fun. Plus, a chance to learn about a new book, new beers and learn about memory.

Shae McCoy Presents: West Baltimore Ruins: 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11, virtual. The photographer celebrates a new book, and discusses her work with Teri Henderson of BmoreArt.

Finding Eutaw Farm: The Herring Run Archaeology Project: 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, virtual. In the latest event from The Baltimore Architecture Foundation and Baltimore Heritage, Jason Shellenhamer and Lisa Kraus discuss a public archaeology program in Herring Run, including how the estate was discovered.

Mondo Baltimore – Blood Lake: 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, virtual. The monthly cult movie night screens a 1987 film showing how a party weekend turned horrific.

Whale Lounge: 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, virtual. Max’s Taphouse offers a kit with pours of some choice beers, and a YouTube event to share in the fun.

African-American Heritage Cooking Demo: 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13, virtual. From the Filbert Street Garden and Greater Baybrook Alliance, Chef Crystal Forman Holistic Wellness and Health offers lessons on a series of African American dishes.

Jean Carn: Valentine Love: Feb. 13-14, virtual. Keystone Korner presents a romantic streaming concert from the jazz and pop singer.

Astro Adventure Online: Noon on Feb. 13, virtual. Maryland Science Center presents a virtual event that’s interplanetary, with activities featuring constellations, meteor showers and Mars.

Seeing Learning and Memory through the Microscope: 1-3 p.m. on Feb. 13, virtual. Baltimore Under Ground Science Space hosts a class about the brain, memory and microscopy with Dr. Elena Lopez-Ortega.

The Take-Out Get Down: Lonely (and Not-So-Lonely) Hearts Club: Sunday, Feb. 14. The special chance to support local businesses and check out virtual performances from local creators returns. Order carryout from one of the 20 participating restaurants, and get the link to a night of performances that include sets from DJ James Nasty and Baltimore Comedy Fest.

Romantic Music for Violin and Piano: 1 p.m. on Feb. 14, streaming. An Die Musik presents violinist Yonatan Grinberg and pianist Teodora Adzharova performing works by Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Dvorak, Rachmaninoff and Massenet.
