While your holiday order from Amazon may come from the other side of Baltimore, it probably wasn’t made here. But for those who want to do their browsing out in the city, there are options to buy from the growing number of local artisans that are plying their trade in the city. Here’s three markets this weekend:
Made in Baltimore Pop-Up Shop Located right on The Avenue, the pop-up shop in the upstairs portion of Double Dutch (1031 W. 36th St.) has wares from 40 Baltimore-based businesses. For this edition, the psoft good shop SewLab and the fashion sense of Strangers with Style were collaborators. It runs through the month, with an opening party on Friday, Dec. 2.
The XXChange An exhibit on Allover Street highlighting female makers of handmade goods. This weekend, it’s closing out with a pop-up shop at the Open Works makerspace on Greenmount Ave. where you’ll have a chance to buy the products.
Mt. Vernon Marketplace will host 15 guest vendors on Sunday, Dec 4, for a Holistic Holiday Pop-Up Market. The vendors all have gifts that offer health benefits as well as making you feel good.
