
A 64-year-old man involved in an August 2025 shooting on N. Caroline Street is set to serve 20 years after pleading guilty to attempted murder and firearm use on June 9.
Bobbie Williams was initially charged with attempted murder, firearm use, first-degree assault, reckless endangerment and multiple firearms offenses in connection to the shooting, which occurred Aug. 24, 2025 on the 800 block of N. Caroline Street. Williams was previously been convicted of second-degree assault and a third-degree sexual offense.
According to the police report, officers responded around 1:50 a.m. to multiple ShotSpotter alerts in the area of the shooting, where witnesses described a heated argument between Williams and another man. Williams then pulled out a gun and began shooting into a crowd.
