Celebrated for more than a century, Labor Day is intended to give hard-working employees and their families a chance to rest and gather, and to commemorate the achievements of collection action. From a 40-hour work week to paid time off, the benefits many of us share are the product of the men and women of the labor movement insisting on rights and equality for all. Baltimore Fishbowl staff will also take a break on Labor Day, and return after the holiday with our unique blend of news and events.
