I’m Cody and I’m an 8 year old senior dog here at BHS for the 3rd time – I guess I just don’t have the best luck finding my forever home, but I‘m keeping positive. I have to believe someone out there wants a nice older dog who will lay on the sofa with them and watch TV. I have to admit I am a bit overweight so maybe my new family will be able to take me on walks around the neighborhood. I like to play with any kind of toys available to me — I even carry them around when I go outside. It is pretty rare for me to have accidents in my run, but in a new environment it may happen at first so please be patient. Please know that when it comes to clipping my nails or having any type of vet care it’s best for me to be muzzled — some dogs like me just get really anxious in those situations. I mean do you really like going to a doctor?? If you have any other animals in your home I will be cat tested or we’ll do a dog intro to make sure everything goes smoothly. I may be older than some dogs here, but as they say, older is wiser. So if you would like a wise, sweet dog who will make a great companion, please come visit me. Open your heart and home to a senior dog; that’s my motto!! Thank you and hope to see you soon.

Hi, there! My name is Pawsy, and I am on the search for my forever home! I was adopted from BHS back in 2010, but was returned because of “litterbox issues.” I seem to be doing just fine with my litterbox here at the shelter, so the staff speculates that perhaps, like many cats, I simply have a preferred litter texture that I like to use. My previous guardians said I seemed to want to go outside a lot, so I would love some big sunny windows to sit in! I’m a real sweetheart who likes people, and I’m really hoping that you’ll seriously consider me as a new addition to your family. I’m currently staying in a communal cat room here at BHS. So if you have other cats, the more the merrier! Just be sure to give us plenty of time to adjust. I know I could be the girl for you. Please stop by to meet me ASAP!
