Artscape 2025 applications are now open, with a deadline of March 17, 2025. The festival will take place May 24-25, 2025, a change from August the previous year.
Taking place in the heart of Downtown Baltimore, the Artscape festival plans to present immersive public art, high-impact installations, and curated experiences for attendees that show just how unique Baltimore’s creative community is.
There will be public art, lighting installations, green spaces and more under the Jones Falls Expressway (JFX). The War Memorial Building will showcase more than 50 emerging and established artists, curated by renowned artist Derrick Adams. The artisan market – an Artscape favorite for so many – is a juried exhibition and marketplace where artists, artisans, and makers present their work and make it available for purchase.
The Sondheim Art Prize, conversation series with thought leaders, artists, cultural movers and shakers on all sorts of topics, Kidscape, and so much more will offer something for everyone. From first-time visitors to seasoned Baltimoreans, everyone will walk away having learned and experienced something new from the vibrant scene.
Artists and makers can apply to be part of the Mural Project to transform the pillars under the JFX; apply to set up wares in the Creative Marketplace; make visitors’ taste buds dance in the Flavor Lab; be a pop-up performer; and so much more.
