The other night, I arrived at BWI and made the mistake of driving into the city via I-95. Readers, learn from my error!I had no idea that the major traffic artery is undergoing major construction starting now and lasting two months. There will be lane closures, reroutings, confusion, delays, and a whole bunch of angry and/or frustrated motorists. The ramp from Key Highway to 95 will be closed until the fall. The Washington Boulevard exit will be closed for “about two weeks.” Basically, the whole highway will turn into a confusing traffic jam that you should probably try to avoid if possible.
The MDTA has provided some useful maps of alternate routes so you can avoid getting stuck in the quagmire.
