Courtesy Citybizlist – Baltimore, Philadelphia and Atlanta are among the most dangerous cities in the United States, according to an analysis using FBI data.
With 62 murders per 100,000 people, Flint, Mich., was the most dangerous city in 2012, 2011, and 2010, Business Insider reported citing data from FBI’s Uniform Crime Report.
According to FBI’s UCR, for the first time in six years, violent crime rose in the U.S. in 2012. Business Insider analyzed the report to determine the cities with the most violent crime per capita.
The study includes all cities with a population of over 100,000. Business Insider compared the cities’ rates of murder and non-negligent manslaughter, rape, and robbery against 2011 national averages. Aggravate assault was not included in the study due to inconsistent reporting.
