Baltimore County Public Library is launching a new series of conversations with authors, starting next month.
The Booked for Baltimore County Public Library series will kick off with New York Times bestselling nonfiction author Erik Larson.
Larson will speak with BCPL CEO Sonia Alcántara-Antoine about his works, including “The Devil in the White City,” “Dead Wake,” and “In the Garden of Beasts.”
“This series is about inspiring our community and bringing people together through powerful stories and conversation,” Alcántara-Antoine said in a statement. “We are excited to launch Booked for Baltimore County Public Library with such an extraordinary writer.”
The event will be held Sept. 21 at 2 p.m. at the Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel Ballroom in Towson.
Patrons can reserve free seats starting at noon Aug. 21 at foundationforbcpl.org. Library officials are encouraging attendees to reserve their spots early as tickets are expected to be claimed quickly.
Following Larson’s appearance, other authors in the series will include Kate Quinn, Jennifer Weiner, and 2025 Pulitzer Prize winner Percival Everett.
