Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski today announced that the county is now accepting applications for grants to support nonprofits that offer arts, culture, science, and humanities events and programs.

The grants โ€“ ranging from $1000 to $9500 โ€“ can support projects such as festivals, film screenings, exhibitions, and musical performances.

The Baltimore County Commission on Arts and Sciences will evaluate applications based on factors such as service to Baltimore County, outreach to involve new audiences, and impact on the cultural needs of the community.

The commission will host two informational sessions for nonprofits interested in applying on March 23 at 3:00 p.m. and April 5 at 1:00 p.m.

Organizations in and around Baltimore County can apply, but the events and programs must take place in the county.

The project grant applications will be open until April 19 at 4 p.m.
