Get Up & Go! Dive into the Holidays!
You don’t need us to tell you that this week brings with it an avalanche of sales, specials, and promotions throughout the city and beyond. But we’ve definitely got a few highlights to share, and some choice activities to help keep your sanity as the holiday season comes bursting in.
First, if you haven’t been down to check out Harbor East’s Window Wonderland display, you simply must. It’s a wonderful reminder of how beautiful and special this time of year can be. Plus, it features the incredible work of local artists and provides a perfect way to get a jump on your holiday shopping.
Speaking of holiday shopping, there’s plenty this weekend in advance of Thanksgiving. You can head out to the Friends School Parents Association’s 29th annual Holly Fest, held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, Saturday the 21st. Or, if you’re looking to get out of town while you get a jump on holiday shopping, don’t miss the 33rd Annual Valley Craft Network Studio Tour for an amazing way to see some Maryland countryside and find totally unique, handmade gifts while you’re at it.
And of course, once Thanksgiving hits, the holiday deluge just doesn’t stop. Bring the visiting relatives down to the harbor for the Baltimore Christmas Village. And if you go on Friday, you can hop over the AVAM’s BAZAART: First Dibs Preview Party for, well, first dibs on original creations by 50 regional artists and craftspeople prior to next weekend’s BAZAART extravaganza. Totally, 100% unique, local holiday shopping experience, here we come.
