Massachusetts is known for its terrible drivers, but the Maryland region is a close second.
According to a new ranking from Allstate, Baltimore is the second most accident prone city in the country. The company’s claim data from January 2014-December 2015 shows that drivers average a mere 4.2 years between crashes. Last year, we were third, so things are getting worse.
DC is right there, too, coming in fourth at 4.3 years between accidents on average.
That’s pretty bad, but with Massachusetts we can always do worse. Cities in that state round out the top five. Boston falling first (3.6 years between accidents), Worcester, Mass., showing in third (4.3 years between accidents) and Springfield, Mass., in fifth (5.3 years between accidents).
