This summer, the Baltimore State’s Attorney Office will host free activities for the city’s youth every Friday evening.

Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby launched the #BmorePopUp series in the summer of 2017. But after COVID-19 forced events to be held virtually over the last two years, this is the first year the series will be in person since 2019.

The city will provide free activities for youth and their families on Fridays from 6-9 p.m. to give young people constructive outlets in an effort to reduce juvenile crime.

Since the inception of the #BmorePopUp series, 20,000 individuals have participated in Skate Jams at Shake and Bake Family Fun Center, Night at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, Maryland Science Center visits, cruising the Harbor aboard the Spirit Baltimore, and more.

The SAO releases a list of activities and locations each week. This Friday’s event is a pool party at Druid Hill Park. To participate families must register through Eventbrite

The series is made possible by partnerships with the Mayor’s Office of Children & Family Success, the Baltimore City School Police, the Baltimore City Health Department, Baltimore Rec & Parks, Baltimore City Schools, Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center, DTLR, Radio One, and BlackOut Management.

To receive text alerts when registration has opened or get weekly details regarding the event, text BALTSAO POPUP to 468-311.
