Students from Baltimore’s “Believe in Music” program collaborated with some of Charm City’s most notable musicians to create a pop song that expresses their frustration and hope in the aftermath of the death of Freddie Gray and the subsequent unrest.

“Believe in Baltimore” features the students’ lyrics and melodies, with some arranging and accompaniment from members of Future Islands, Lower Dens, and Outer Spaces.

WTMD’s Sam Sessa told the Baltimore Sun the song will be officially released for free download on Wednesday, when it will also go into heavy rotation on WTMD.
