Come on, hon, why don’t we paint the town and all that jazz? The national tour of the musical “Chicago” is in Baltimore this week, telling the stories of the women of the Cook County Jail.

Also this weekend, you can watch the Wu-Tang Clan kick off their final tour, attend a fashion show in Harbor East, and commemorate Juneteenth early with a 5K run or 1-mile walk.

Chicago, Thursday, June 5, through Sunday, June 8, Hippodrome Theatre. The “Merry Murderesses” of the Cook County Jail will take the stage as “Chicago” comes to Baltimore. After chorus girl Roxie Hart is sent to jail for the murder of her affair partner, she tries desperately to cling to the fame she has found behind bars.

Maryland Makerspace Meetup, Friday, June 6, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Open Works. Makers, makerspace organizers, researchers, academics, community organizers, and other leaders will gather for the 2nd annual MD Makerspace Meetup, featuring breakout sessions, a panel discussion, networking with other maker professionals, and more.

Hope Gala 2025, Friday, June 6, 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., American Visionary Art Museum. Join Baltimore Outreach Services at they celebrate resilience, recovery, and rebirth at one of Baltimore’s most iconic venues. Enjoy a cocktail hour and silent auction, followed by dinner and an awards program, as Baltimore Outreach Service raises critical funds for their shelter, job readiness training, and housing placement services.

Baltimore Record Bazaar Vinyl Night, Friday, June 6, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Peabody Heights Brewery. DJ Mikie Love and friends will be spinning and selling vinyl in the taproom at this free monthly event, featuring craft beer, a food truck, and arcade games.

Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber, Friday, June 6, doors open at 7 p.m., event begins at 8 p.m., CFG Bank Arena. The hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan will embark on their final tour, which will kick off right here in Baltimore.

In A Mood, Friday, June 6, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., The Walters Art Museum. Back for its second year, this summer fundraiser will feature aura photography by Soulshine Aura, creative cocktails by the Baltimore Bartenders’ Guild, custom bites by The Classic Catering People, mood lighting and music by Baltimore Sound Entertainment, and more.

National Drive-In Movie Night, Friday, June 6, box office opens at 7:15 p.m. Bengies Drive-In, the only drive-in theater in Maryland and the operator of the largest outdoor movie screen in the United States, will celebrate National Drive-In Movie Night on June 6. To mark the occasion, Bengies will show a double feature of “The Karate Kid: Legends” and “Final Destination: Bloodlines.”

Big Bubble Rave, Friday, June 6, 9 p.m., Baltimore Soundstage. They’ve changed the name, but they promise the party’s still the same. Tag your Bikini Bottom squad and get ready to party at this underwater themed rave.

Flea Market, Saturday, June 7, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Hiss United Methodist Church (8700 Harford Road). Find a new treasure among someone else’s old items at this flea market.

Rainbow Run, Saturday, June 7, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Patterson Park (adjacent to Virginia S. Baker Recreation Center). Run through a colorful two-mile course through Patterson Park. FashionEASTa ’25, Saturday, June 7, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Harbor East. Returning for its 12th year, FashionEASTa 2025: The Fashion Show at Harbor East promises a runway show unlike any other, featuring the hottest looks from the district’s most coveted brands and boutiques, cocktails aplenty, sales galore, live music, and a few surprises.

Pride Celebration, Saturday, June 7, 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., Movement Hampden and Union Craft Brewing. Support Unmatched Athlete, a Maryland nonprofit that provides sports opportunities for LGBTQ+ youth and allies, during their fundraiser. The event at Movement Hampden will feature climbing activities for youth (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.) and a social hour (5 p.m. to 6 p.m.). Then, continue the fun later from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a drag show at Union Craft Brewing, featuring this year’s newly-crowned Baltimore Pride Drag King and Queen, plus music by DJ Deezy. Pride On The Waterfront, Saturday, June 7, 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Inner Harbor Amphitheater, 201 E. Pratt St. The Baltimore by Baltimore Festival Series is returning this month, with a special Pride edition curated by Dapper Dan Midas (DDm). A Baltimore native, rapper, and creator behind the “Secretary of Shade” YouTube channel, DDm has put together a lineup celebrating the LGBTQ+ community, including “All Aboard: A Drag Hour” by The Club Car Baltimore, Stealya-manz, Kotic Couture, DJ 7oey, DJ DNyce, and JPope and The HearNow.

Mesmerica, Saturday, June 7, times vary, Banneker Planetarium at Community College of Baltimore County.
