Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical, Thursday, Nov. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 30, Hippodrome Theatre. Your heart will likley grow three sizes after watching this musical version of Dr. Seuss’ “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” telling the tale of a Christmas-hating, furry, green Grinch who sets out to wreak havoc on the holiday — only to learn some lessons along the way.
Santa Claus is Comin’: A Motown Christmas Revue, Thursday, Nov. 26 through Sunday, Dec. 30, Baltimore Center Stage. Hear the classic holiday tunes with a Motown twist. The revue runs from Nov. 26 through Jan. 4.
AVAM’s Bazaart Annual Holiday Craft Marketplace, Friday, Nov. 28, noon–5 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 29, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., American Visionary Art Museum. Come to AVAM’s holiday marketplace of original creations by 50 regional artists and craftspeople. Admission is free to this one-of-a-kind show, with painting, sculpture, jewelry, handmade clothing, accessories, and more!
Festival of Trees, Friday, Nov. 28 through Sunday, Nov. 30, Maryland State Fairgrounds. Featuring hundreds of beautifully decorated trees, wreaths and gingerbread houses, a massive vendor marketplace, rides, games, crafts, live entertainment and holiday magic galore, this three-day holiday celebration benefits the patients, students and programs at Kennedy Krieger Institute.
Hunt Valley Towne Centre Tree Lighting, Friday, Nov. 28, Hunt Valley Towne Centre. This year’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will feature live performances, a special message from Santa, and complimentary hot chocolate (while supplies last).
Holly Days, Friday, Nov. 28, through Sunday, Nov. 30, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Maryland Zoo. Make a reindeer ornament at the kids craft station, listen to a story read by Mrs. Claus, snap some holiday photos with Santa’s friends, and more. The Holly Days events kick off Nov. 28 and will continue through Dec. 28.
A Christmas Carol, Saturday, Nov. 29, and Sunday, Nov. 30, Chesapeake Shakespeare Company. Charles Dickens’ holiday classic comes to life in this production set in 19th-century Baltimore. The production runs Nov. 29 through Dec. 23.
Holiday Train Garden & Photos with Santa, Saturday, Nov. 29, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fire Museum of Maryland. Snap a selfie with Santa, and watch as O-scale trains wind through a 20th-century town.
Foundry Row Tree Lighting, Saturday, Nov. 29, 6 p.m., Foundry Row. Join Foundry Row for the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, featuring live performances, complimentary hot chocolate (while supplies last), and a special message from Santa.
Deceived, Sunday, Nov. 30, Everyman Theatre. A woman questions her relationships and even her own sanity when she starts seeing and hearing things that aren’t there. “Deceived” is an adaptation of the 1944 psychological thriller film “Gaslight.” The production runs Nov. 30 through Jan. 4.
