Talib Kweli, Thursday, Aug. 14, doors open at 7 p.m., show begins at 8 p.m., Baltimore Soundstage. Legendary rapper Talib Kweli, known for his political insight and social awareness, will stop by Soundstage with special guests MC Bravada and Nature Boi.

Katy Perry, Friday, Aug. 15, doors open at 6 p.m., event begins at 7 p.m., CFG Bank Arena. Pop star Katy Perry will make a stop in Baltimore during The Lifetimes Tour, in support of her new dance-pop album “143.”

Fashion Meets Art Weekend, Friday, Aug. 15, through Saturday, Aug. 16, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Motor House. Participate in programming celebrating fashion and the arts, including a networking party and vendor fair, brooch-making workshop, fashion show, and more.

Hopfest, Friday, Aug. 15, through Sunday, Aug. 17, doors open at 11:30 a.m., Max’s Taphouse. Taste some deliciously hoppy brews. Attendees can also enjoy some fun events, like karaoke (Friday and Saturday at 9:30 p.m.) and a comedy show (Saturday at 8 p.m.).

Charm City Wellness Expo, Saturday, Aug. 16, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Middle Branch Fitness and Wellness Center. Engage in free fitness classes, rock wall climbing, cooking demonstrations, wellness vendors, and a live DJ. There will also be a three-mile community walk, led by Girls Who Walk Baltimore

Sunset Concert with Whiskey Feathers Band, Saturday, Aug. 16, 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Star Bright Farm. Star Bright Farm welcomes back Whiskey Feathers Band, a rising genre-fluid band from Baltimore, blending rock, Americana, and livetronica.

Whiskey on the Waterfront, Saturday, Aug. 16, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sagamore Spirit Distillery. Sagamore Spirit Distillery is teaming up with BARCS for this Wags and Whiskey edition of Whiskey on the Waterfront, featuring live music, food trucks, and whiskey cocktails. The event is held on the third Saturday of each month, May through October (weather permitting).

Canton Waterfront, Saturday, Aug. 16 and Sunday, Aug. 17, Baltimore Center Stage. Sailing between the coasts of two generations and two parallel time periods, Karen Li’s Canton Waterfront is a new play that follows two members of the Shek family and two of their descendants.

Mess Fest, Saturday, Aug. 16 and Sunday, Aug. 17, Maryland Science Center. The Science Center is packing the most mucky, slimy, sticky, sloppy science they can come up with into a weekend-long celebration, including a 50-bottle Mentos and Coke eruption in honor of their 50th anniversary.

Uncruel Summer – A Girly Pop Dance Party, Saturday, Aug. 16, 9 p.m., Ottobar. Grab your friends and dance the night away to music from Taylor, Sabrina, Tate, Gracie, Chappell, Olivia, Billie, Ariana, Charli, Gaga & MORE!
