Baltimore resident (and Towson grad) Chuck Conjar likes bodysurfing, laying on the beach, having fun, and Ocean City — enough so that he wrote a song about it. And after all the votes were tallied last week, Conjar’s “Ocean City Days” was named Ocean City’s Official Song of the Summer, beating out more than 50 other original compositions.
“ ‘Ocean City Days’ is a great song that really captures the nostalgia of Ocean City,” said Ocean City Mayor Rick Meehan. The song is available as a free download from the iTunes store, and already has more hits than some of Conjar’s previous pieces on YouTube, “The Gift of Life,” (yes, it’s about Jesus); “Mother-in-Law” (yes, it’s about his mother in law).
You can hear Conjar’s beachy crooning here.
