rush_hour

The average Baltimore resident drove nearly 31 minutes to get to work this morning, according to an AP analysis of data recently released by the U.S. Census Bureau. That’s the sixth longest commute in the entire country.

Maryland also has a high share of bad drivers, which leads me to (unscientifically) conclude that we probably have among the most stressful commutes in the entire country. Will the government respond by investing in transportation infrastructure and public transit options that will help alleviate the burden of an overcrowded highway system? Eh, not in Baltimore, it seems.

Be grateful, though, that you don’t live on Broomes Island, where residents’ average commute times are over an hour, the longest in the state.

  1. Not true, live other places in the country and you will see the inconvenience others experience. This city is a piece of cake !!
