Broadmead, Inc., a Quaker-founded life plan community and senior living provider in Baltimore County, has announced it will assume management of Residences at Vantage Point in Columbia, Maryland effective July 1, 2026.

This partnership unites two mission-aligned life plan communities known for resident-centered care, inclusion, and a strong tradition of service. Life plan communities (also known as continuing care retirement communities, or CCRCs) offer independent living residences and access to higher levels of care if residents need it, all on one campus. This might include assisted living, personal care, memory care support, or skilled nursing.

Residences at Vantage Point has been in Columbia for decades, known for its diverse, resident-driven culture and full life care continuum of services. Broadmead is a nonprofit life plan community in Cockeysville, known for its Quaker-inspired values, excellent health services, and culture of belonging. It has extensive leadership experience, nationally recognized wellness and dementia care programs, and a long history of commitment to high-quality senior living.

โ€œVantage Pointโ€™s commitment to honoring resident voice and fostering an inclusive community aligns beautifully with Broadmeadโ€™s values,โ€ said Jay Prince, CEO of Broadmead. โ€œWe are honored to support this next chapter by preserving what residents value most and strengthening the communityโ€™s longโ€term future.โ€

โ€œThis partnership reflects our Boardโ€™s dedication to stability, continuity, and excellence for our residents,โ€ said Virginia Thomas, chair of the Vantage Point board of directors. โ€œBroadmeadโ€™s leadership, culture, and expertise make them the right management partner as we look ahead.โ€

Residents at Vantage Point can expect daily life to continue without any interruption of staffing, services, or full continuum of care. They can look for enhanced hospitality standards, continued support for inclusion and belonging, and strong organizational leadership during the transition to becoming a Broadmead life plan community.
