Grammy Award-winning pop, hip-hop and R&B singer Bruno Mars is bringing his 24-karat magic back to the Baltimore-D.C. area for two nights of performances in August at the MGM National Harbor, the casino and resort hotel announced on Monday.

Mars will take the stage on Aug. 6 and 7, more than four years after being among the early acts to perform at MGM National Harbor when it first opened its doors in Prince George’s County in December 2016.

Now, as MGM prepares to welcome back live entertainment to its theater in July after a pandemic-related hiatus, it’s showtime and Mars is back again.

“We can’t wait to have global superstar Bruno Mars return to The Theater,” MGM National Harbor President and Chief Operating Officer Jorge Perez said in a statement. “Our guests have waited so long for the return of live entertainment, and there’s no better way than witnessing Bruno’s unmatched energy and passion for the stage.”

An 11-time Grammy Award winner and a 27-time Grammy Award nominee, Mars released his third studio album, “24K Magic,” in 2016. He and rapper Anderson .Paak, as the duo Silk Sonic, are planning to release a collaborative album titled “An Evening with Silk Sonic.”

Billboard’s “Comedian of the Year” Sebastian Maniscalco will kick off MGM’s 2021 slate of live entertainers with a performance on July 22.

The stand-up comedian, who grew up in the suburbs outside of Chicago, has released five comedy specials and has acted in films like Green Book and The Irishman.

“Our Theater is such an integral part of what makes MGM National Harbor the go-to entertainment destination for the region,” Perez said in a statement. “The opportunity to welcome back live audiences with iconic names [like] Sebastian Maniscalco is a moment we’ve been anticipating for a long time.”

The Price is Right, the longest-running game show on television, will have shows at the MGM on Aug. 27-29.

Boyz II Men will deliver their smooth and sultry music to MGM’s audience on Sept. 4.

Comedians Kristin Hensley and Jen Smedley, creators of the podcast and webseries #IMomSoHard, will take the stage on Sept. 25.
