Being stuck in a crowded airport and waiting in line ahead of Christmas can easily sap a traveler’s holiday spirit reserves. Luckily for anyone who will be at BWI Airport this week, there’ll be plenty of holiday cheer in the air.

According to the AP, Santa will be paying a visit to travelers around BWI from Wednesday morning through Christmas Eve as they head home or come back to Baltimore for the holidays. After he parks his sleigh out of site, he’ll be appearing indoors in the terminal and outdoors on an airport firetruck cruising the terminal runway and on the airfield. Those who happen to cross his path in the airport can snag a free candy cane as well.

Those who don’t believe in Santa can still benefit from the shared holiday spirit if they’re in the airport during the day. For anyone buying gifts late in the game, packaging store Wrapology is offering free gift wrapping in the A/B Concourse food court from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Friday, Dec. 23. As an added bonus, airport retail company Airmall is donating a dollar for every wrapped package to Snowball Express, which supports children of fallen military members.

If that’s not enough holiday cheer to keep travelers happy, the airport will also have musical performers traveling around the airport throughout the week. Clearly, the airport is trying to do whatever it can to keep its travelers in good spirits as they all fly home for the holidays.
