
Robomart, which describes itself as the worldโs first store-hailing service, is expanding to the east coast with Baltimore as its next service area.
The app-operated, contactless mobile store will travel to the user’s location, stocked and ready for consumers to choose from a selection of products at their convenience.
With the high demand for grocery services, Robomart’s founders wanted consumers to have other options outside of delivery or in-store shopping. In 2018, they created their service, which is โhailed like a ride share.โ
Robomart is opening its east coast headquarters in Baltimore, which will be its latest service area, with plans to expand along the coast. The company plans to start hiring for its Baltimore team this fall.
The California-based company offers vans stocked with medicines, toiletries, personal care items, and household goods in the Pharmacy Robomart. The Snacks Robomart offers a selection of candies, chocolates, cookies, chips and drinks. And soon consumers will have access to the Ice cream Robomart.ย
By using the โone-tap grocery ordering technologyโ shoppers will open the vehicleโs door using the app. Robomart tracks the items that customers take and charges the credit card that the app has on file, so there’s no need to check out.
