Kentucky Derby winner California Chrome is the odds-on favorite to win the 139th Preakness Stakes. His odds are 3-5! If he wins the Preakness, heโ€™ll be on track to be the first triple-crown winner in 36 years. And that would certainly be something. But if Iโ€™m putting money on the race, Iโ€™m betting on California Chromeโ€™s toughest competitor, because it seems like the only moral choice.

His odds are only 5-1, but his name is Social Inclusion, and thatโ€™s good enough for me. I know that race horses are known for having strange names, but this guy might as well be called Itโ€™s Not Whether You Win or Lose, Itโ€™s How You Play the Game. And when you put Social Inclusion against California Chrome, itโ€™s easy to tell who is the cocky villain with the flashy looks and who is the underdog with nothing but heart in this Hollywood sports narrative.

Seriously, guys. Iโ€™m going to the Preakness with a huge sign with โ€œIโ€™M HERE TO SUPPORT SOCIAL INCLUSIONโ€ in magic marker.
