A brightly lit Menorah with glowing candles for Hanukkah holiday season.

Eight Days of History, Family and Giving

Chanukah marks the victory of the Jews, led by the Maccabees, against Greek persecution and religious oppression. When the Maccabees arrived to rededicate the Temple, they found only enough oil to burn for one day. Miraculously, it burned for eight. To commemorate the miracle, we celebrate Chanukah for eight days, lighting the Menorah each evening.
