It may only be October, but the holiday season will be here before you know it.

This season, the Christmas Village will return to Baltimoreโ€™s Inner Harbor at the West Shore Park.

The market, which was canceled last year due to COVID, will run from Thanksgiving to Christmas, Nov. 25 โ€“ Dec. 24.

The Christmas Village will open for a special preview weekend on Nov. 20 and 21.

It will officially open on Thanksgiving weekend with a ceremony featuring Santa, the German Christkind, and Gingy, the giant gingerbread man.

The market features traditional German food and drinks like schnitzel, Hofbrรคu Beers, Glรผhwein โ€“ hot mulled wine โ€“ and Lebkuchen, gingerbread.

It will also feature โ€œThe Pyramid,โ€ a 30-foot tall, carousel-like tower that serves as a sales stand.

The concept of the Christmas tower originated in the Ore Mountain region of Germany.

The pyramid at the Baltimore market was made by German craftsmen in Karlsruhe, Germany and shipped to the city in November 2019.

The stand serves a large variety of mulled wines as well as nonalcoholic beverages.

The Christmas Village will also feature a traditional market, performances by local bands and choirs, and other entertainment.

The market will be open Sunday-Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

It will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Eve.
