Two people were injured in a shooting near a bus stop on the 5200 block of York Road on Tuesday night. (According to the Baltimore Sun, both were taken to area hospitals; there has been no update on their condition.) On Wednesday morning, neighbors were shocked to find that the crime scene still looked–well, like a crime scene, complete with smears of blood all over the bus stop’s glass.
Images of the bloody bus stop circulated quickly via social media and by mid-afternoon, the scene had been cleaned up. But imagine how it must’ve felt for the friends and family members of those injured in the shooting to have seen this. If Baltimore wants to improve its reputation, this is exactly the sort of thing that should not be happening. As one Facebook poster put it, this makes us look as though we’re living inside a game of Grand Theft Auto…
