NASA is calling the Dragonfly project perhaps the “most ambitious science mission” it’s ever attempted, and it’s being built at a Johns Hopkins University-affiliated (JHU) research center.

At JHU Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in Laurel, Maryland, technicians have been building the car-sized, nuclear-powered octocopter since March.

The rotorcraft is being constructed with the intent of exploring more than 50-miles worth of Titan’s surface, one of Saturn’s 274 confirmed moons.
