New coronavirus cases, deaths, hospitalizations and the average positive test rate are all continuing to decline in Maryland, state data show.

Maryland health officials have confirmed a total of 1,010,096 positive coronavirus cases to date during the pandemic, including 1,918 cases that were newly reported since last Friday.

The state has also recorded a total of 14,054 confirmed coronavirus-related deaths, including 32 that were reported since last Friday. There are also 264 Marylanders whose deaths are suspected to have been related to COVID-19.

The seven-day average percentage of coronavirus tests that came back positive is 1.45%. This time last week, the average sat at 1.47%.

There are currently 177 coronavirus patients hospitalized in Maryland, down from 210 a week ago.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s COVID-19 community level dashboard, last updated Thursday, shows that all 24 of Maryland’s jurisdictions are experiencing low community levels of coronavirus.

Maryland has administered a total of 11,488,636 coronavirus vaccine doses to date, including 2,233,976 booster shots.

Since last Friday, state officials have newly reported administering 30,831 vaccine doses, including 15,015 booster shots.
