If you’ve ever thought that parking a cruise ship seems tricky, then you’re right.
Yesterday morning, as the Carnival Pride cruise ship was attempting to dock in Baltimore, it missed its mark and ended up smashing into a gangway instead. What might have been a minor fender bender in a car was more dramatic with a giant cruise ship’s power behind it; when the gangway collapsed, it crashed into three nearby parked cars, the Baltimore Sun reports.
No one was hurt, and many passengers weren’t even aware that an accident had taken place. All things considered, it sounds like a much less disturbing event than the rough seas or disease outbreaks that have plagued other Baltimore-based cruise ships.
