When Dan Deacon was offered a few dates opening on a recent collaboration of Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz (aka Miley Cyrus and the Flaming Lips), the Baltimore-based musician thought of Juster.
โI felt like I was in the Phantom Tollbooth,โ he said, according to Pitchfork.
Itโs already strange enough that pop star Cyrus is touring with the Flaming Lips. Now, theyโll get Deaconโs electronic wonders.
Deaconโs takeaway: โI have a pretty weird life and tend to end up in really bizarre situations that I never in a million years would have pictured.โ
But the Wham City hero counts it as a chance to introduce his music to Cyrusโ fans. And knowing Deacon, heโll make it fun and find a way to bring the fans into the fold.
Sadly, none of the dates will be in Baltimore. The closest heโll come is D.C. on Nov. 27. A Philly date is planned for Dec. 5.
