Dan Deacon Tiny Desk Concert

When Dan Deacon was offered a few dates opening on a recent collaboration of Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz (aka Miley Cyrus and the Flaming Lips), the Baltimore-based musician thought of Juster.

โ€œI felt like I was in the Phantom Tollbooth,โ€ he said, according to Pitchfork.

Itโ€™s already strange enough that pop star Cyrus is touring with the Flaming Lips. Now, theyโ€™ll get Deaconโ€™s electronic wonders.

Deaconโ€™s takeaway: โ€œI have a pretty weird life and tend to end up in really bizarre situations that I never in a million years would have pictured.โ€

But the Wham City hero counts it as a chance to introduce his music to Cyrusโ€™ fans. And knowing Deacon, heโ€™ll make it fun and find a way to bring the fans into the fold.

Sadly, none of the dates will be in Baltimore. The closest heโ€™ll come is D.C. on Nov. 27. A Philly date is planned for Dec. 5.
