On Friday Oct. 16, WTMD is paying tribute to the actor, musician and true Baltimore character Divine, a few days before what would have been his 70th birthday.
Baltimore musicians Bobby E Lee and the Sympathizers, Pure Junk, Sweepstakes, Cowabunga Pizza Time and Ellen Degenerate will perform Divine’s songs.
Single Carrot Theatre, Iron Crow Theatre, Cricket Arrison & Melissa LaMartina will re-enact some of Divine’s most memorable scenes. And psychic Sandi Athey will attempt to reach Divine in the afterlife.
Presented by Natty Boh, the show will be broadcast live on air, with a live studio audience.
